چکیده
Photo(electro)catalysis (PEC) is a promising strategy to conduct attractive solar-driven reactions such as CO2 reduction form added-value products, H2 production, and organic substrates oxidation, taking advantage of the spatial separation photocarriers generated in semiconductor-based electrodes. Halide perovskite nanocrystals (PNCs) are attracting increasing attention due their tunable optical features band structure, which pivotal modulate oxidizing/reducing power perform chemical efficiently. However, defective structure ionic nature PNCs make them prone be unstable polar media, where most relevant interest take place. In this review, an overview recent strategies stabilize solvents presented, some with application or already introduced PEC systems. Perovskite encapsulation, including formation heterostructures, surface passivation engineering, synthesis intrinsic stability focused upon. Furthermore, perspectives for using stable lead-free showing benefits future technology energy production/transformation.

Strong Carrier–Phonon Coupling in Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals
We highlight the importance of carrier-phonon coupling in inorganic lead halide perovskite nanocrystals. The low-temperature photoluminescence (PL) spectrum of CsPbBr3 has been investigated under a nonresonant and a nonstandard, quasi-resonant excitation scheme, and phonon replicas of the main PL band have been identified as due to the Fröhlich interaction. The energy of longitudinal optical (L...

Herein, we describe simple, fast and reproducible halide ion exchange reactions in CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, I) nanocrystals (NCs) at room temperature. Through the simple adjustment of the halide ion concentration, the photoluminescence of these NCs can be tuned over the entire visible region (425-655 nm). Photodetector devices based on entirely inorganic CsPbI3 NCs are demonstrated for the first tim...

Cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals are being lately explored for optoelectronic applications due to their emission tunability, high photoluminescence quantum yields, and narrow emission bands. Nevertheless, their incompatibility with polar solvents and composition homogenization driven by a fast anion-exchange are still important drawbacks to overcome. Herein we report on a successful e...

This Perspective outlines basic structural and optical properties of lead halide perovskite colloidal nanocrystals, highlighting differences and similarities between them and conventional II-VI and III-V semiconductor quantum dots. A detailed insight into two important issues inherent to lead halide perovskite nanocrystals then follows, namely, the advantages of defect tolerance and the necessi...
متن کاملHarnessing Defect-Tolerance at the Nanoscale: Highly Luminescent Lead Halide Perovskite Nanocrystals in Mesoporous Silica Matrixes
Colloidal lead halide perovskite nanocrystals (NCs) have recently emerged as a novel class of bright emitters with pure colors spanning the entire visible spectral range. Contrary to conventional quantum dots, such as CdSe and InP NCs, perovskite NCs feature unusual, defect-tolerant photophysics. Specifically, surface dangling bonds and intrinsic point defects such as vacancies do not form midg...
